School days.

Who says you need to be a naughty school girl? How about boarding school material instead? Collegiate even. Bring on the pretty peter pan collars, bold saddle shoes, and trendy over the knee socks.

I love the bright, and cheery yellow color of this dress.
These are a great update on the classic.
The details is so luxurious they could pass as an evening shoe.
Canvas Oxfords. Forever 21, $22.80.

Perfect pleats, and a bouncy bow make give this a 50's vibe.
Teatime Traditions Dress. Mod Cloth, $62.99.
These mary janes will give you the height you crave.
Mary Jane Velvet Pump. Wet Seal, $24.50.
Throw a little neutral tweed in to stay cozy.
Try purple instead of something expected like black or white.
Don't be afraid to treat it like a neutral.
RSASKL1Unisex Solid Knee-High Sock. American Apparel, $10.

Put your hair in a loose side bun to offset this hat's formal look.

Alright class, pencils down, and now it's time for recess. Until next time...

Happy Shopping,
<3 Vanessa

  1. Oooh such fabulous, cute items! And at great prices. :)

I love that tweed jacket! I was so desperate for a tweed jacket this fall, I stole my dad's. Lol. That Dakota one is so cheap, I might have to look into it.

And omg. That modcloth dress and yellow 60s dress are ADORABLE!

I hope you're having a great weekend! xo

  3. I am writing to inquire about a joint promotional partnership between Runway Rundown and your blog. RR is a daily fashion blog that connects the current runway fashions with researched affordable alternative
looks. I think your fashion content fits in perfectly with what RR tries to accomplish each day. The looks are fun and sassy, but still awesomely inexpensive.

If you could take a look at the website (www.runwayrundown.com) and
let me know what you think. We would love to do a link exchange and swap blog roll links. Or your blog could possibly feature RR on its site in review or recommendation, if you want I can work with you to feature our RSS feed on your page daily in the sidebar. We could add this image box that would automatically update daily:
    http://www.runwayrundown.com/rss/feed.rss

or any other sort of promotional effort you can think of. If a further partnership is desired, we could possibly feature a weekly/bi-weekly post with your blog in mind. Obviously, we are open to anything. This would be a fantastic opportunity, since both sites are growing.

Thank you so much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
