Outfit of the day. Worth it's weight in gold.

Friday I was all over the Cleveland area. First I went to see the reggae band Carlos Jones with my friend (she is also my brother's girlfriend) down at Cropicana on Whiskey Island. It started pouring during the band's set so they had to cut the concert short. Then we headed to Melt in Lakewood, and I can't believe it took me so long to go there. I had a monte cristo, and it was pure heaven. Afterwards we met my boyfriend, my brother, and some other friends for drinks at The Tap House. It was really fun but I was so tired by the time I got home I could barely keep my eyes open.

Outfit details: Blazer- Selene Sport. Burlington Coat Factory. Tank- Old Navy. Gabriel Brothers. Jeans- Express. Thrifted. Shoes- Wet Seal. Bracelet- Charlotte Russe. Necklace/Layered Long Chain- HSN. Gift.

I start my summer class on Wednesday. It feels so weird to be going back to school, and it finally feels real to me. On Wednesday night I leave for Pittsburgh because my boyfriend's sister is getting married this weekend. It is going to be one crazy busy week.

Do you ever have pieces that are worth their weight in gold? This blazer is one those pieces for me. I've owned it for at least six years now. If I would have known how much use I was going to get out of it I would have bought every one left in my size. It fits in all the right places, and I can count on it every. single. time.

With all my heart,
<3 Vanessa

  2. A black blazer with the perfit fit is definitely a wardrobe staple. I have two black blazers, but neither one fits as I'd really like. Yours is amazing!

As for a piece that's worth its weight in gold, I have to go with my black patent bag. I've worn it so much and it's showing no signs of wear. I will wear it for years to come!

  3. Okay, I really like this outfit on you. That last photo is like your non-cheesy glamour shot.

My plaid Keds have been with me for eight years now (and there are holes threatening to form around the toes), and I don't know what I'm going to do when they fall apart completely... Cry, probably.

The absolute greatest and best of luck to you with school! YOU WILL BLOW EVERYONE OUT OF THE WATER!

  4. You've been busy.  I'm a big fan of monte cristos!  You're right--we all have items like this jacket that seem to fit perfectly and feel right with lots of looks.  You'll do fine with the school thing.
